Summary:
The Senior Programmer Analyst will work with a team of analysts to chart the future for ACBL’s enterprise application landscape. The Senior Programmer Analyst is an integral part of the process of bringing ACBL’s enterprise applications to the next level. As part of this effort, their role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes gathering requirements, writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. Will research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. Provides mentoring, support, and guidance to other members of the Application Development Team.
Essential Duties/Functions:
- Involved in every step of the application lifecycle including Design, Development, Quality/Automation Testing, and the enhancement of the existing system
- Work with the business to gather requirements on new projects, understand how requests generate value for the company
- Provide Tier 2 support for production applications
- Update application configuration as needed to meet the business requirements
- Provide end-user and technical training to business and inter-department personnel
- Interpret, author, and update technical and user documentation as needed
- Work on high-value initiatives that affect the entire company
- Perform Code reviews
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is Required
Years of Experience:
5 – 8 years working as a developer/programmer analyst
Demands:
- Experience in C#, VB6
- Significant Experience in SQL
- Experience in Microsoft Power Platform a plus
- Understanding of source control (preferably git)
- Report creation (BiPublisher, SSRS, Power BI)
- Understanding of Cloud (AWS, Azure)
- Experience in DevOps (CI/CD)
- Significant experience with design patterns
- Unit Testing and Integration Testing experience
- Focused on growing own skill set
- Focus on business and user experience
- Experience working on an Agile teams
- A team player who wants to contribute to ACBL’s IT and business success
- Be an active contributor to the success of the IT department
- A self-starter who is highly motivated & ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work
- A great communicator & analyst who is curious about the inland river transportation industry and applying emerging technologies to solve business problems.
