Job description
Summary of the Position: Supports the accounting activities related to company, and other related entities. This position is responsible for maintaining the general accounting duties related to company, and reports to the Corporate Controller.Roles and Responsibilities :
Maintain the general ledger and prepare periodic financial statements for the company entity.
Inventory reporting, valuation and reconciling for management, insurance and tax purposes.
Assist the Manufacturing and Finance Senior Management Teams in developing standard costs and selling price analysis for all products across all companies of company.
Provide Manufacturing Senior Management with operational reporting and assist with process improvement.
Works closely with the external accountants during their semi-annual visits.
Assists with the development of the Annual Budget for company, as well as ensures the manufacturing production budget flows correctly into the sales budget of the selling entities.
Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.
Assists management with other projects and duties on an as needed basis in meeting company objectives.
Minimum Requirements : High proficiency in Microsoft Excel required and proficiency in all other Microsoft applications is ideal. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Manufacturing Industry experience is preferred. Must be a team player and have a strong desire to learn and work independently.
Education and Experience : A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required with a minimum of five years of experience. A CPA/CMA or Master's degree is a plus but not a requirement. Previous ERP experience is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibilities : This position will not initially have any direct reports but will have supervisory responsibility for certain projects.
