Sr. Manager, Global Tax

Talento has partnered with a global enterprise organization on a Sr Manager search in their Tax department. As the Sr Manager, you will be in a highly strategic role that oversees day to day operations and strategic growth and projects that include tax planning and expansion that minimizes tax risk. You will work cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders across multiple locations on multiple projects. This role requires a high degree of management and supervisory skills, communication skills, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice to executive management of the tax implications of business activities and initiatives
• Lead a team, able to set priorities and ensure adherence to SOX controls
• Develop and implement strategies for transactions, acquisitions, and other initiatives to minimize tax risk and maximize tax efficiency, and communicate that strategy to stakeholders
• Monitor case law and tax legislation
• Lead projects internally and/or through vendors across all tax strategies nationally and internationally
• Determine direct and indirect tax impact on all proposed business activities
• Lead monthly tax forecast process including variance analysis and forecast assumptions within the department
• Serve as tax representative when interfacing with legal, accounting, development, treasure, finance, and operations
• Develop audit defense strategy and represent the organization before tax authorities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Master's Degree with an specialization in tax preferred
• 7+ years of progressive tax experience
• Experience working or supporting global corporations required
• Demonstrated technical proficiency in US GAAP ASC 740
• Experience establishing and monitoring controls that comply with SOX
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate and present to internal and external stakeholders while building strong relationships
• Strong project management experience
• Experience interpreting general tax periodicals, professional tax journals, foreign countries tax laws and regulations, and presenting findings to management
