***THE POSITION IS PENDING CONTRACT AWARD***

The Information Assurance Engineer will be the subject matter expert in all system engineering matters including operations, engineering, technical support, and cyber operations for the client. This position will be responsible for taking the lead role in the assessment of threat information as it relates to the scope of work and determining solutions that impact the mission, goals, and objectives of the client.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert knowledge of cyber security and information assurance
  • Develop and recommend cyber security/information assurance strategies that effectively integrate operational, administrative, procedural, technical, and training measures
  • Support incident response, reporting, and handling activities in the identification and resolution of cybersecurity incidents
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and other activities to test cyber security controls
  • Draft cyber security work instructions, manuals, and procedures
  • Support the Agile team by performing various infrastructure-related tasks
  • Other duties that support the contract and/or FWG business, as required
Requirements & Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or any related field required
Licenses & Certifications:
  • Active or eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
  • Required to have one of the following IA baseline certifications: Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), CompTIA, CASP, CISM or CISSP
Experience:
  • Five to eight (5-8) of relevant experience in a similar role required
  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience in an information systems security role required
  • Experience supporting the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Controls Traceability Control Matrix
Skills & Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate information security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences at various levels
  • Poise and ability to act calmly and competently in high-pressure, high-pressure situations
  • Excellent analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple projects under strict timelines, as well as the ability to work well in a demanding and dynamic environment
Other:
  • Ability to travel to the office, as required

$120,000 - $140,000 a year
Starting salary depends on experience.
