About the Role

As a Senior Front End Engineer in our team, you will play a key role in building and maintaining our web applications. You will be responsible for creating and implementing user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces, utilizing the latest front-end technologies and best practices. Your expertise in React, TypeScript, CSS, and front-end testing will be highly valued as you work closely with our design and engineering teams to deliver high-quality, accessible, and performant solutions.

Familiarity with Material UI/MUI, Styled Components, and GraphQL/RESTful API exposure is an asset in this role. Regardless of the content medium, you are distinguished by your abilities to explain complex topics in a way that’s useful to their audience and bring a high level of ownership to your projects.

Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience working directly with engineers, product managers, and other partners to develop new products and features.
• Expertise in React
• Expertise in Typescript
• Expertise in CSS
• Expertise in Jest / React Testing Library or other approaches to front end testing.
• Familiarity with Material UI/MUI, customization an asset
• Familiarity with Styled Components / Emotion styling solutions an asset
• Familiarity with common front-end tooling such as Webpack, ESLint, Prettier
• Able to transform designs in Figma into loosely coupled, easily tested and maintainable React components
• Able to advocate for responsive design, accessibility and performance on the front end.
• Team player that collaborates with effectively with the rest of the Design & Engineering teams
• GraphQL / ReSTful API exposure
• Comfortable handling multiple projects and prioritizing ad hoc requests.
