ConMet has a newly created role within our Advanced Technology Group for a Sr. Engineer. The Advanced Technology Group is a newly formed segment in ConMet. This team will strengthen perspectives to stay ahead and shape major transitions, test and shape those transitions, and will bring in options and decisions to accelerate growth within our eMobility business unit. This role will be based at ConMet's corporate headquarters in Vancouver, Washington.

Essential Duties

  • Develop new solutions, products, and tools to help ConMet's growth strategy.
  • Have a detailed understanding of the power requirements and chassis impacts to electrifying commercial vehicle and adjacent transportation solutions.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities including new technology and strategic partnerships.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, innovations, disruptors, and customer feedback to provide input development efforts to optimize product and technology offerings.
  • Lead the development/sourcing of new technologies and products to enhance and address market needs.
  • Work within a cross-functional team to bring new eMobility solutions to a proof of concept stage for market evaluation.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years engineering experience in the commercial vehicle industry
  • BS or MS in Engineering (Note: ideal majors include Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or another applicable engineering or technical field).

Preferred Experience

  • Leadership experience in fast-paced, dynamic start-up, greenfield or other rapid growth environment preferred
