This position is responsible for the company’s technology infrastructure, including hardware, software, enterprise systems and technology support employees. The Director manages these people and assets effectively, ensuring that both can scale efficiently as the company grows. The Director ensures the security and privacy of all data held by the company. In addition, the Director is responsible for the overall organizational network and infrastructure strategy, monitoring performance of information technology systems, and maintaining compliance with all customer security requirements, industry security standards, and applicable laws.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • The Director will serve as a critical participant/advisor regarding all aspects good IT governance, communications, change management, and business process improvements
  • Provide leadership of a team to effectively and efficiently maintain networks, security programs and systems, oversee and drive optimization of all technology infrastructure
  • Identify and assess opportunities for appropriate, cost-effective investments in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development
  • Develop, track, and manage the annual and long-term information technology operating and capital budgets
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives and, as appropriate, present proposed solutions to the senior executive team
  • Work closely with Support staff to understand challenges and issues; encourage and foster creative, collaborative problem-solving between operational and support teams
  • Evaluate current processes and workflows and recommend new solutions (e.g., process changes, new software, or new ways of using existing software) to improve operational efficiency and/or financial performance
  • Identify opportunities to automate and streamline existing business processes
  • Identify ways to leverage new tools or explore ways to optimize use of existing ERP
  • Work with stakeholders to document requirements, scope solutions, and allocate resources to the development of these solutions
  • Establish timely reporting on key IT initiatives, document plan of implementation and establish resource requirements
  • Evaluate and recommend contemplated purchases of technological equipment and software and establish partnerships with IT vendors
  • Provide support for incoming queries by troubleshooting and responding to user requests and questions, researching, and correcting systems problems, and following up with the end users to ensure satisfactory resolution of systems-related issues
  • Build and nurture long term relationships with outside vendors for IT related products and services
  • Establish and maintain appropriate security processes and procedures for all users and business applications
  • Motivate, recruit, lead and develop a team of diverse individuals with various experience levels and skillsets.


Position Requirements (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar field
  • 5+ years in an IT leadership role – preferably in a HIPAA compliant organization
  • Proven experience as a Director of IT within an organization supporting a hybrid and 100% remote environment, with experience managing both full-time employees and independent contractors
  • Demonstrated success in developing a highly functional team and customer-centric culture
  • Ability to manage costs and budget with transparency, communicating decisions and process to business leaders
  • Ability to analyze complex information and recommend action steps
  • Ability to manage projects for on time completion within budget
  • Extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software systems including cloud computing environments; ideally AWS but Azure experience will also be considered
  • Experienced with computer networks and network administration and installation
  • Experience with ERP implementations, cyber security compliance initiatives, and scalable infrastructure.
  • Ability to scale organization with rapid growth with in-depth understanding at a strategic and business process level of MRP, CRM, financial consolidations and reporting, forecasting tools, etc.
  • Experience leading a company in achieving and maintaining industry standard certifications including, but not limited to, ISO, PCI and HIPAA.

Travel: It is preferred the employee in this role work in the Torrance office a minimum of 2 days a week.
