Job Summary
The Sr Compensation Analyst is an integral member of the corporate compensation and human resource teams. The incumbent will contribute to the roll out and management of corporate and human resource initiatives, manage the company's job description management system and ensure alignment and consistency of job titling across business units, as well as lead annual salary increase, bonus planning, and performance management processes.
Essential Functions
  • Provides consultation to Human Resource Partners and management on compensation policies, planning, programs, and practices.
  • Heavy participation in (3) annual merit increase cycles, and bonus goal setting evaluation processes; will act as Project Manager for assigned cycle(s)
  • Oversee job description management system and ensure consistency with titling, role definition, requirements documentation, and job evaluation methodology by overseeing periodic job data audits; update program documentation, communications and calendars, job aids, etc.
  • Project manager or lead phases of large-scale compensation studies; lead job evaluation projects and summarize results to include a narrative, summary of findings, and recommended options.
  • Work with the Talent Development, Compensation and Human Resources teams on performance management and talent development initiatives and serve as super-user for AEG's Talent Management Portal.
  • Work with HR Partners to review/approve off-cycle pay adjustments and/or promotions; ensure recommendations align with internal governance
  • Partner with HRIS/HR Partners team to lead various audits on employee and job data in HRIS.
  • Stay abreast of employment law updates, monitor and interpret FLSA and other federal, state, and local laws pertaining to compensation compliance; partner with department head to create and update compensation calendars, SOPs, communications, presentations, job aids and training videos
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Psychology, or a related area
  • 4-6 years Related experience in Compensation and/or Human Resources; must have 3+ years experience conducting data analysis and presenting findings
  • Experience working with a large HRIS (i.e. PeopleSoft, UltiPro, ADP; Workday)
  • Experience working with a talent management systems used for performance management and compensation planning
  • Experience leading annual performance evaluation and salary planning process
  • Solid experience with job leveling and documentation, including benchmarking to third-party compensation surveys
  • Vendor management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state and local laws that affect HR policies and procedures, including EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and other regulatory and compliance laws.
  • Solid business acumen with the ability to sale and influence change
  • Must be able to work with highly sensitive and confidential data
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work independently to complete work assignments, as well as collaboratively on work teams
  • Solid knowledge of FLSA and job leveling
  • Solid analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy in data and report preparation
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and must be able to pass a Microsoft skill assessment to test ability to maneuver spreadsheets, create pivot tables and summarize data from multiple sources
  • Solutions driven with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work with highly sensitive and confidential data
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) Preferred
