Job Summary
- The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates patients, develops treatment plans and provides treatment for medically necessary speech therapy services addressing a patient’s deficits in speech, language, cognition, voice and dysphagia in the home setting.
- The Speech Pathologists demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served by Avera@Home.
- The Speech Language Pathologist contributes to the plan of care and collaborates with the case manager and interdisciplinary team.
Education and/or Experience
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology required.
- Experience in-hospital, SNF, outpatient and/or home health setting preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registrations
- Licensed in the State of Iowa.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from American Speech & Hearing Association (ASHA) in speech language pathology.
- Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every 3 years thereafter.
- This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
Work Schedule
- The position is casual/fill in as needed.
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $28.75 - $43.50
