The Strategic Partnerships team is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for managing third-party platform providers who support our clients. Working in collaboration with our lines of business and technology partners, this team manages the engagement process with these partners, oversees the financial model, enhances the integrated functionality with the providers and collects market intelligence to determine future demands for services.
Position overview:
Provides leadership for the product functionality required to support our integrated services with strategic third-party partners and ensures these efforts are delivered on time and on budget. This includes developing the strategy and product roadmap for these solutions based on industry trends, regulatory changes and client needs. Also, manages the product development process across the lifecycle from product inception through development and launch. Engages directly with clients and third-party providers to understand needs and address their inquiries.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
Leverage strong market knowledge to integrate the demands of clients in efforts to try to ensure our integrated functionality and ease of use with third parties meets client demands
Oversee strategy execution with respect to the product team's technology development and delivery processes
Independently manage the development, enhancement, and profitability of assigned products and performs both operational and marketing analysis to ensure profitability and penetration goals are met.
Engage with stakeholders across Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc. to ensure different requirements are met during the new product development, enhancement, delivery, strategy, and planning processes
Lead a wide array of activities associated with project planning and management to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to internal client specifications. May allocate/coordinate work within projects
Develop, implement and manage product pricing
Respond to internal and external clients' products and services inquiries
Ensure that risk, regulations, and market conditions are accounted for throughout the life-cycle of developed products.
Understand the implications of product development to Pershing's policies and operational procedures and influences appropriate change with other various teams supporting the solutions
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required, while an Advanced/graduate degree is preferred.
7-10 years of Product Management, Operations, or Client Management sector
Strategic thinking and problem-solving with the aptitude to work in a consultative manner with clients to deliver beyond expectations
Has comfort with ambiguity
High attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with a variety of personalities and positions
BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $63,000 and $108,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
