Summary: The Data Analytics Specialist is responsible for creating data visualization dashboards and reports, managing web analytic tools, and providing key metrics to internal stakeholders. The Data Analytics Specialist is a cross-cutting position, assisting teams with providing a full picture of how users experience ASTHO’s online properties.

Location: Remote

Anticipated salary: $63,000 Extended experience: up to $70,500 if experience exceeds expectations

Principal Functions:

• Manages ASTHO’s web analytics tools, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, and Microsoft Power BI

• Diagnoses issues with platform configurations and implement improvements

• Showcases ASTHO analytics in an easy-to-understand way by designing and maintaining data visualization dashboards

• Provides internal stakeholders reliable insights to help identify issues and to improve them

• Uses Power Query M and DAX to manipulate datasets for visualizations

• Works with cross-organizational teams on data reporting needs

• Spearheads transition from Universal Analytics to GA4, collaborating with supervisor

• Creates proof of concepts and prototypes on implementation/use of Power BI Monitors, cleans, and analyzes website data for reporting to internal stakeholders

• Communicates best practices for the technical aspects of strategic SEO

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or experience/education equivalent required. A minimum of 2 years of related experience required.

• Requires proven work experience and knowledge of various analytics, database, and visualization tools (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Google Search Console, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Excel).

• Excellent visual skills, including demonstrable design knowledge, such as layout, typography, color, interaction design

• Knowledge of web-based development, production, optimization, and user testing tools and willingness to learn new tools. Current coding languages utilized include HTML, JavaScript, SQL, Power Query M, DAX. Experience with SEO and A/B Testing is a plus.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple competing tasks and demands.

• Requires continual attention to detail.

• Must be able to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Must be able to communicate in both oral and written form.

• Work is mainly sedentary.
