Position Purpose:
The Special Assistant to the National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the President/CEO and members of the Executive Team in support of NICB strategic initiatives. The candidate will complete a variety of tasks which facilitate the President/CEO’s ability to lead the organization effectively and efficiently. This includes assistance with special projects; designing and producing complex documents, reports and presentations; collecting and preparing information for meetings with NICB staff and outside stakeholders; leading travel planning and execution for the President/CEO. This position reports directly to the Senior Advisor to the President & CEO at the executive level.
This position will require on-site presence as needed to support the President/CEO. This is a hybrid position which requires that the employee report periodically in-person to Headquarters (Des Plaines, IL). Reporting frequency is determined based on business needs and subject to the discretion of the employee’s supervisor.
Competencies/Duties:

  • Advises the President/CEO on broad program management and administrative matters, including developing and drafting strategy and policy, and creating and managing organizational objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Identifies and resolves problems and other matters involving the President’s Office, as directed.
  • Conducts or directs analytical studies, inclusive of methodology development, data collection, and report preparation, as requested by President/CEO.
  • Coordinates cross-sectional collaborative work efforts, ensuring appropriate representation of President/CEO's policies and priorities.
  • Collaborates with the Communications Department on President/CEO internal/external communications.
  • Writes, reviews, edits, and prepares written materials, correspondence, speeches, presentations, and talking points for the President/CEO.
  • Responsible for coordinating the President/CEO’s travel schedule, arrangements and collateral materials required for meetings and speaking engagements during travel.
  • Coordinates consolidation of background materials in preparation for CEO speaking engagements and meetings.
  • Handles and directs inquiries and requests made to the President/CEO’s office.
  • Maintains President’s Office budget justifications and spend plans for the calendar year.
  • Coordinates Presidents Office activities as it relates to the bi-annual Board of Governors meetings.
  • Analyze various data sets to identify insights and trends to drive business objectives
  • Support the creation of business intelligence reporting for senior management (e.g., management dashboards, objectives/key results)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience, Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Project management experience preferred with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and other software including: Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Internet.
  • Familiarity with cloud and big data technologies is desired
