Job description
EDS MY CLASSROOM is a Spanish language academy. A team of great teachers works at our reputable partner schools in Los Angeles. They deliver classes and tutoring based on strong academics and creative methodologies.
We look for a teacher to provide Spanish classes. The ideal candidate can deliver lessons at all levels of proficiency (beginner to bilingual) to work on the West Side of Los Angeles.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Spanish native speaker
- 1 or more years of working experience with children
- Proven experience working with students in an academic or recreational setting
- Excellent work ethic and reliability; punctuality is a must
- Must pass a TB test (or provide TB test results within past 4 years)
- Must have COVID Vaccination proof
- Must pass a criminal background check (FBI/DOJ clearance)
- Ability to commute to West Los Angeles / Mar Vista and/or WoodlandHills
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Lead group classes
- Teach one-on-one tutoring
- Prepare lesson plans
- Prepare materials for classes
- Complete Class reports
- Report to the teacher’s coordinator regarding the classes, students’ progress, homework assignments
- Comply with COVID protocol

- Collaborating with LAUSD schools, while being at their school campuses
- Ongoing training and mentoring by the teacher’s coordinator and program director
- Ability to qualify for a full-time position, after proven performance evaluation
- Possibility to grow within the academy and get promoted to higher-level positions

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
As a protection measure, teachers are required to wear masks indoors.
Negative COVID tests and/or vaccination may be required by the School District to access their premises, as well as to work at the academy.
