The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Part-time* Space Designer / Facilities Coordinator* to perform facilities and general space management functions.
The position is remote but may require periodic visits to the customer site in Rockville, MD.
Required Experience & Skills

• Space management expertise with emphasis in layout and design.
• Experience in reviewing current, and proposed, space plans to provide input and suggestions.
• Proficiently use AutoCAD to create architecture & interior design layouts, floorplans, design concepts, construction drawings, charts & diagrams
• Experience writing, preparing, analyzing, and interpreting policy documents related agricultural research.
• Experience interpreting Federal, State, local and industry codes and standards related to space management.
• Experience managing moves of large bodies of personnel to ensure continuity, planning, execution, and space management.
• Experience working with a Work Order ticket system
• Solid understanding of project funding requirements within a government setting

Preferred Experience & Skills

• Experience with preparing new hire office/desk set up (e.g., offices have required furniture, computers, office telephones, name signs, etc.).
• Experience with the disposal of furniture and equipment

Required Education

• Degree from an accredited college with a focus on Architecture or Interior design or a minimum of 3 years’ experience
