Within the Automotive Division, Lisi Automotive Hi Vol is looking for a SORTER to join our team. This position will be located in Livonia, MI. This position is Third (3rd) Shift.

Summary

Provide quality assurance and visual inspection of headed, machined, threaded and/or finished fuel rail parts to ensure appropriate customer/internal specifications are met through the following duties.

Perform general inspection and sorting needs throughout the plant in accordance with all safety standards. The Company reserves the right to determine the number of employees in each performance grade, as required by customer demands and company needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform general inspection and sorting needs throughout the plant in accordance with all safety standards.

• Discern defects with training.

• Use appropriate micrometers/calipers and all basic gages with assistance.

• Follow general directions for handling and packaging parts.

• Meet standards for sorting.

• Complete sorting paperwork for hours worked and defects found.

• Knows key personnel in production, shipping and quality.

• Understand defects and assists in collection of defect samples and labels them for future sorts/quality review.

Education and/or Experience

Equivalent to high school education or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Should know how to use or ability to learn how to use all quality gages (micrometer, caliper) and read blue prints.

Pay: $12.94 - $14.50 per hour
