We have an exciting opportunity to join us in supporting one of our valued customers as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer and Tester, Junior to work out of Colorado Springs, CO supporting COCOM Cyber Mission Support (CCMS) Contract.

PAY: $60,000 - $70,000

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a unique opportunity to work with a highly skilled engineering and software development team in an Agile and DevSecOps environment. Collaborate in a team environment to plan, develop, implement, and manage Quality, Reliability, and Test on software products to ensure that the products meet performance and program requirements.

This position is available as a hybrid/remote role supporting Space Systems Center (SSC) and the Space Training Acquisition Organization (STAO).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Review and evaluate the work of team members for product quality.
• Conduct continuing review and evaluation of quality assurance program effectiveness through review of reports, correspondence, data bases, field data, audits, and observation of internal operations. Provide detailed lessons learned and recommendations for improvements.
• Plan and coordinate quality assurance evaluations, analyze system failures and inadequacies, and ensure adequacy of efforts related to root cause and corrective action over the product's lifecycle.
• Support the Technical Authority for quality processes, reliability, and test documents. Develops and follows quality plans, test procedures and reports, closed loop failure reporting and corrective action systems, failure analyses, quality management system documents, engineering changes/deviations/waivers, and quality control and assessment programs.
• Review and analyze system concepts and user requirements that have been approved and entered into a system requirements baseline (functional, allocated, and product).
• Support software and hardware configuration management and integration events such as functional/physical configuration audits, inspections, installations, validation, and verification.
• Perform quality control activities to include engineering, design, process control, product evaluation, product reliability, inventory control, metrology, automated testing, software, research development, and administrative application.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with Azure
• Collaboration experience with software developers in remote and/or hybrid environments
• Working knowledge of programming languages and skills
• Exposed to Cloud-based development methods
• Experience supporting DOD contracts
• DevSecOps experience
• Strong collaboration, problem solving, and communication skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• 0-3 years’ experience in software quality assurance and configuration management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Science, Quality Engineering, or any technical discipline related to the needed skill. Additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
• Current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 2 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security + or equivalent) or must obtain within six months of hire
