About the Position
**Software Product Specialists play a key role at Cobalt in ensuring a positive customer experience with Cobalt's software products. Cobalt's products are mobile and browser-based CRM applications built on top of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform. New Software Product Specialists will learn to master the intricacies and customer-specific configurations of Cobalt's products so that they can help our customers use the software to its fullest potential. We are looking for a new team member who takes pride in solving real-world business problems, enjoys collaborating with internal team members and external clients, and strives to learn new skills as they keep pace with changes in complex technologies.
Cobalt currently has an opening for a Software Product Specialist at Level I or II. The Level I role is an entry-level position while the Level II role requires at least 4 years of technical support experience; both levels are part of our customer support department and report to the Associate Director of Customer Support & Success.
Primary Duties
- Research and troubleshoot tickets
- Research new functionality or solutions to unique customer requests
- Answer end-user support calls and emails
- Escalate cases to internal specialists and departments
- Create documentation for end-users and internal use
- Monitor incoming cases for trends and triage of urgent items
- Quality assurance testing on new products and client releases
- Become a subject matter expert and create documentation for end-users and internal use
- Provide training to customers and internal staff
- Provide formalized coaching sessions for other staff members on the support team
- Participate in rotational on-call shifts for emergency incidents (Level II only)
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree from a respected institution
- 1-2 years of professional work experience, preferably in a technical and/or training field
- 4+ years of technical support experience, preferably supporting Dynamics (Level II only)
- Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

The Software Product Specialist position pays an annual base salary of $75,000 – $95,000, based on level and experience, with a target bonus of 5% of the base salary.

Hybrid Work Policy
**Cobalt has adopted a hybrid remote work policy for 2023. All employees are required to work a minimum of 25 full days at Cobalt's office during each calendar quarter in 2023 in order to continue fostering our company culture of teamwork and collaboration.
COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
**Cobalt wants to ensure the health and safety of all its employees, which is why all employees are required to be fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus, including at least one booster shot. All Cobalt employees are required to maintain their vaccination status according to the suggested best practices as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and to provide Cobalt with current proof of this vaccination status. If and when additional vaccine requirements are released by the CDC in 2023, Cobalt will provide updated guidance on when all employees must comply with the new recommendations.
