Job Title: Software Engineer (Remote Local)

Responsibilities:

• Consults with clients and users to analyze and understand functions that are to be automated, client needs, objectives, desired features, and input and output requirements
• Writes and maintains functional and technical specifications
• Converts designs and specifications into computer code
• Compiles code into programs and corrects errors detected in the compilation process
• Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirms that the program meets specifications
• Analyzes codes to find causes of errors and revises programs
• Consults with internal users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs
• Writes and maintains documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections
• Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with programs
• Analyzes, installs, and tests upgrades of externally developed application programs
• Performs maintenance of existing custom software, including end-user support
• Monitors performance of programs after implementation
• Applies basic knowledge of company's core technologies to perform duties

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related degree; or an associate's degree in computer science
• 10 years experience working in a software development capacity
• Significant experience working with C#, .NET, Javascript, SQL, HTML, XML, Ember Js or related scripting languages
• Relational Database Design
• Object-oriented programming

Qualifications desired:

• DISAWorks® system experience
• Web Services experience
