SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Software Engineer - Mid-level (Electronic Warfare - ONR Software).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
SEACORP is seeking mid-level Software Engineers with a minimum of 3-year experience and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance out of its main location in Middletown, RI starting in Q1 2023.
This role will work closely with a supervisor, as well as other team members, on assigned tasking. This role requires a highly motivated individual with excellent problem solving and organizational skills. This role requires an ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently with changing deadlines and priorities. This role will work within a multidisciplinary team of SEACORP and government personnel to define, design, and integrate software capabilities into complicated military systems.
Essential Capabilities:
- Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Comfortable developing software in C++ and Java.
- Familiarity with version control systems, Unified Markup Language (UML), and Linux.
- Experience using Qt Framework and Qt Creator IDE for developing Graphical User Interface (GUI) layouts.
- Experience writing software requirements and design documentation.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science.
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering field with experience developing software.
Experience:
- 3+ years of technical experience or academic equivalent earned via internships and/or capstone projects

Travel: 10%
Clearance: Secret
SEACORP follows ITAR guidelines for the work it performs as a federal contractor. Consequently, US citizenship is needed for all positions requiring a security clearance.
Work Environment & Physical Demands: Standard Offices and Electronics Assembly & Testing Labs: Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting. In the Laboratory setting, significant use of small hand and electrical tools that require fine motor skills. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs., occasional twisting, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling and squatting. Some potential exposure to fumes associated with soldering.
