Job Overview:

As a Laboratory Information Systems Engineer at Champions Oncology, you’ll have a unique opportunity to make an organization-wide impact working with cross-functional teams to build out our Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS). You’ll serve as our on-site expert, working closely with management, scientists, IT, and our software engineering team to analyze requirements, design, develop and implement solutions with integration to other enterprise applications. The successful candidate will be available to work on-site in Rockville, MD. Duties and responsibilities:

• Provide on-site support for LIMS customization and configuration
• Create and manage scripts to integrate multiple systems
• Analyze feature requests and create detailed requirements and documentation
• Help shape our overall digital lab strategy
• Manage and track development projects using Jira and version control

Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelors degree in science, technology or another relevant academic discipline required
• 2+ years functional LIMS experience
• Expert familiarity with Python and SQL
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Available to work on-site in Rockville, MD as needed
• Experience with Sapio LIMS
• Software development experience
• Experience with Java, PHP, or R
• Experience with common database technologies
• Experience with software testing and validation
• Previous hands-on life science laboratory experience
• Experience working with AWS
• Experience with Jira, Git
