Job Summary: The Software Engineer II role at Data2Logistics supports all phases of the software development life cycle, relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. The position will require the engineer to work on levels of coding, debugging, testing and documentation to advance the organization’s mission supporting clients, customers, and company objectives. Furthermore, this position will work with project and business stakeholders to help develop next generation products to accelerate the Data2Logistics business.

Principal Responsibilities and Duties:

· Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages; manage API environments as required; manage ETL SQL environments.

· Develop technical interfaces, specifications, and architectural design.

· Use and adapt existing web applications for apps.

· Create and test software prototypes.

· As instructed research, document, and implement system requirements and specifications provide findings to the manager.

· Ensure consistent writing and coding of software programs and applications according to specifications and standards.

· Maintain and adhere to enterprise Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

· Gather statistics and prepare reports on the status of the programming process for discussion with management and/or team members.

· Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and other software engineers to resolve any defects in products or company systems.

· Ensure compliance with industry best practices and security standards.

· Accountable for meeting development KPIs.

· Ensure applications are properly documented.

· Mentor and onboard new development staff members as needed.

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to create appropriate specifications.
  • Interest in developing software, passion for solving complex problems with a solid work ethic and team player attitude.
  • Ability to understand and implement complex specifications.
  • Ability to learn and adhere to a managed release process and quality assurance disciplines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate information, both verbally and written to all members of a project team.
  • Ability to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability and willingness to working in a high-pressure environment and adapt to changing demands.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Four-year college diploma or university degree in a software engineering, computer science or related technology degree.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

· Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and development standards/approaches.

· Technical requirements

o Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-View-Controller (MVC)

o 3 years (minimum) of development experience using C# .NET and MS SQL

o Experience writing complex stored procedures.

o Experience with Entity Framework or other ORM Framework.

o Familiarity with API architecture styles (REST, RPC)

o Familiarity with ASP.Net/Core MVC.

o Familiarity with JavaScript / jQuery.

o Experience with creating and managing Unit tests.

o Experience with GIT.

o Understanding of Agile methodologies.

o Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

· Preferred

o Experience with some/all the following: Classic ASP, VB6, VB.Net, Win Forms, Web Forms, WPF.

o Experience with Azure Dev Ops.

o Experience with a modern front-end framework, such as React, Angular, Svelte, or Blazor.

· Special consideration will be given to full stack candidates with strong front-end web development experience.

Travel:

· Some travel may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $88,330.00 - $98,000.00 per year
