We have an opening in our Information Technology department for a full-time, mid-level Software Engineer. As a member of our Business Applications Development team, this role is responsible for developing and supporting our internal business applications.

Requirements/Experience:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required; Bachelor's degree preferred

• Comfortable working with JavaScript on both sides of the stack, including Node.JS

• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases

• Strong understanding of version control basics (Git)

• Familiarity working with frontend frameworks (Angular, React, Vue)

• Understanding of object oriented and functional programming, async vs. synchronous

• Firm grasp of HTTP request lifecycle

• Environmentally flexible and able to work in varying flavors of Linux

• Prior experience working with third party APIs

• Comfortable working with PHP and related MVC frameworks (Laravel, Cake)

• Bonus points:

• Experience with Go, Rust, Typescript, Python, Java

• Containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes

• Experience implementing SSO solutions (OAuth, JWT, etc.)

• Designing and integrating microservice architectures

• Understanding of messaging queues or real time event streams (AMQP, Kafka, WebSockets)

• Understanding of / experience with unit/e2e testing

• Automating tests or deployments

• Prior experience in digital marketing, digital media, traditional media, and/or publishing industries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
