Job Description:

The Software Engineer will design, develop, implement, and support solutions utilizing a wide range of technology. This position participates in a multi-disciplined team who support our 1.3 million sq. ft. facility’s various applications, machine controls, and material handling systems. Works in a dynamic continuous improvement culture to produce high quality and reliable solutions that may be technical, operational, process, or project oriented. Must possess excellent communication and documentation skills and work closely with end users to resolve issues, implement new technology, and support the dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with other staff members to design, develop, and implement new processes in response to changing business conditions.
  • Continuously updates skills and knowledge of new technology through self-study, formal training, and interaction with corporate functional areas.
  • Participate in a support rotation that occasionally requires off shift activity to support problem resolution, installs, or testing.
  • A flexible work schedule is available with the opportunity for remote work during non-support rotation periods.

Experience Required:

The ideal candidate would have 3 years’ experience but will consider candidates with less experience. The job class will be dependent upon the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

  • Four year college degree in MIS/CIS/Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Course work required in programming, database design, data structures, operating systems and/or system analysis
  • Skills representing mastery in verbal and written communications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

The ideal candidate would have demonstrated experience of many of the technical skills listed below.

  • C++, C#, SQL, ASP.NET, .NET Framework 4.5, Java Script, HTML/CSS
  • Microsoft SQL Server Administration, SSMS, SSRS, SSIS, SQL Agent
  • Multi-threaded System design and development.
  • Computer/network expertise, operations, customer service, testing.
  • Problem analysis, definition and resolution.
  • Technical and procedural documentation.
  • Actively contribute to definition of scope, objectives, and deliverables for new projects, processes, and support initiatives.
  • Barcode reading, vision systems, real time controls programming, and Beckhoff Automation experience would be a plus.
