Training: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
OR
Substitution: Current West Virginia Social Work License.
AND
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a social worker in a public or private health or human services agency.
OR
Substitution: Graduate coursework may substitute for the required experience at a rate of fifteen (15) semester hours for every one (1) year.
Special Requirement: Eligible for Temporary Social Work License OR Licensed as a Social Worker, Graduate Social Worker, or Certified Social Worker by the West Virginia Board of Social Work Examiners.
For the Bureau for Social Services:
Training: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
OR
Substitution: Current West Virginia Social Work License.
AND
Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a social worker in a public or private health or human services agency.
OR
Substitution: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience at a rate of one (1) year of experience for fifteen (15) semester hours of training.
