Job description
Double board-certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based in Bergen County seeks a Social Media/Marketing Manager to join practice specializing in cosmetic surgeries and complex breast and abdominal reconstruction. Established over a decade ago, the practice is known for its dedication to patient care and delivering the most natural surgical result possible.
The Social Media/Marketing Manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and managing the overall social media strategy as well as creating unique and original content for our social channels. In addition to managing the social media channels, the role also includes overseeing a broad array of marketing and sales support functions.
Strong creative and social media skills, A MUST.
Key Responsibilities for Social Media Manager
- Create unique and original content for our social media platforms and website (photo, video, copy, blogs, etc.) and posting the content.
- Create and manage social media calendar; coordinate and facilitate ongoing content.
- Increase social media engagement and traffic from social channels to website through organic content.
- Bring expertise to maintain and developing social media platforms, such as Facebook Instagram, etc., work with emerging platforms, and monitor and implement social media trends.
- Oversee community management and engage with patients across all channels, including acquiring patient testimonials.
Maintain and expand patient membership program
- Able to track, evaluate and make recommendations based on resulting data.
Key Responsibilities for Marketing Manager
- Planning, overseeing and/or executing marketing and PR activities for practice, including office promotional events and monthly practice specials.
- Creating marketing assets on-site and working with management on the timely release of all marketing projects.
- Assist in leading the development and implementation of new business opportunities and practice improvement strategies.
- Updating marketing with new procedures and products to be added to practice, website, and social platforms.
- Processing and evaluating the results of various marketing campaigns.
- Develop and implement internal and external programs to maintain the practice’s position as a market leader.
- Production of employee newsletter.
•Oversee and manage sales growth in varying departments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Highly proficiency with Microsoft Office: Access, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience with posting and managing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) and understanding all reporting aspects of those platforms.
- Ability to stay abreast of the plastic surgery industry, social media trends, and use them in strategic manners to meet marketing objectives.
- Exceptional ability to create both visual and written content for website and social platforms.
- Proven ability to increase engagement and traffic on social media platforms.
- Excellent oral, written (especially spelling and grammar) and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong creative and strategic thinking skills and the ability to populate a high volume of new content ideas.
- Must have exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven experience managing projects.
- Self-motivated with willingness to exceed expectations.
- Basic design skills using Photoshop etc., and simple still photography and video editing skills.
- Working knowledge of Word Press.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications or Marketing
- 3+ years of digital marketing and professional social media experience in a luxury-brand setting with portfolio example of work to share
- Plastic Surgery experience, A PLUS.
