AMF Media Group is a full-service marketing agency looking for an energetic, creative and well-organized Social Media and PR Specialist to join our PR team. We’d love to meet you if you’re a social media fanatic who loves ideating clever campaigns, creating impactful imagery, and realize the power of bringing social media and public relations together. You’ll be exposed to a variety of clients and marketing disciplines, including day-to-day PR operations. You’ll get to write, present concepts, have an active role in setting and analyzing metrics, and be part of a dynamic team driven to results. Role Summary:
Social Media
- Develop, plan and execute social media campaigns and ideate new social activations that align with client goals and objectives
- Draft content calendars that ladder up to client goals while also tapping into seasonal moments and appropriate trends
- Create and edit social graphics and draft captions that include relevant hashtags
- Keep up to date with current news, practices, and trends, identifying opportunities and pausing content/escalating to leadership where appropriate
- Report on campaigns and social media posts to ensure engagement, leads and growth
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and serve as the primary point-of-contact for all things social media
- Engage in and contribute to client and PR team meetings, brainstorming sessions, office activities and staff meetings.
- Assist with day-to-day client activities
- Conduct outreach to and manage relationships with client partner organizations
PR
- Develop and maintain media lists
- Help develop media pitches based on trends and insight gathered from social media
- Monitor and track media coverage/mentions and provide clients with regular metrics/reporting
- Research, write and edit PR content including press releases, fact sheets, contributed articles and blog posts
- Curate, research, write and edit award and speaking applications
- Bachelor’s Degree in PR, Journalism or a related field preferred
- Six months experience in PR or agency internship(s) preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledgeable across social media platforms including Canva, HootSuite, Sprout Social, etc.
- Strong organizational skills
- Motivated self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- High energy with the ability to take direction, work independently but also as team player
