Job description
Essential Functions:
- Build and maintain a collaborative relationship with local vendors and internal departments by providing positive, encouraging and informative feedback
- Maintain Mesa Airlines, Inc confidentiality protecting information about new services, marketing, management strategy, operational directives, business plans, financial records, personnel records, sales transactions, account information, vendors, suppliers or any documents regarding operations, impacting how the Company is perceived
- Identifies methods and analyzes processes to improve operational performance, develop action plans, build consensus and advocate for changes to company policies
- Monitor inbound flight activity and track arrival flights into gates to insure jetbridges, pre-conditioned air, ground power, etc. are brought to aircraft within established time standards
- Identify and communicate operational updates for key departing, arriving, RIGHT START, Priority, MST Critical, etc. flights
- Document and report operational inefficiencies to ensure accurate reporting of delays and adherence to published delay code policies.
- Ensures prompt and effective communication from the Airport Operation to all SOC departments and external Customers regarding operational decisions and Irregular operations.
- Document and escalate critical issues and observations pertaining to the ground operation as needed to direct reports, departments and approved vendors
- Assist all SOC departments to insure all flights, cancellations, irregular operations, swaps and crew resources are managed effectively and in a pro-active manner
- Work with local vendors to ensure the recovery of irregular operations, aircraft swaps and schedule disruptions are managed effectively and in a pro-active manner
- Work with the SOC Supervisor with aircraft routing in compliance with maintenance planning requirements while keeping the flight schedule intact and running on time
- Aid SOC Supervisors with decisions on delays, cancellations, special stops, etc. with regard for safety, regulatory compliance and economic considerations
- Works with SOC and local vendor to ensure tarmac delay program is followed and directly authorize gate returns and the use of resources to avoid violations.
- In emergency situations, provides local coordination of the event ensuring safe operations, and initiates notification procedures of the proper authorities, SOC and other departments
- Participate in local interdepartmental on-time performance committee comprising of representatives from each department in the station on a regular basis
- 1-2 year airport operations, preferably control center experience
- High school diploma

- Reports to VP of Customer Service & Airport Ops
- Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
