The Snapology Program Coordinator position will fulfill dual roles with responsibilities that will include supporting Snapology’s regional Operations Directors with designated tasks to assist in daily business operations at the local level; additionally, this role will assist in providing classroom instruction when needed for Snapology programs and events.
As a Program Coordinator, you will be asked to assist in tasks to support the regional Operations Directors which can include researching and identifying key influencers in the local school systems and other community resources to support the Operations Directors in forming new partnerships to provide Snapology services. This role will also coordinate the registration/enrollment process for students as well as assist with managing physical and human resources to support onsite, mobile, and event programs. This role will also coordinate, maintain, and execute our social media campaigns by creating and posting organic and corporate-created content to promote our Snapology locations in the Houston market.
As an instructor, you will be asked to work in a classroom or similar setting to teach our curriculum to students in a way that instills our core values of promoting creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills through STEAM-based concepts. Snapology is designed to target children between the ages of four and 14. This dual role requires excellent organization and project management skills, the ability to collaborate with internal and external partners, professionalism inside and outside of work, and strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as maintaining knowledge of Snapology programs to be able to communicate effectively with caregivers regarding program logistics.
Role & Responsibilities:
- As Program Coordinator
- Reach out to schools, PTA/PTO groups, booster clubs, and other community groups.
- Maintain detailed contact information for community decision-makers
- Schedule meetings where management will present our program and secure partnerships (for after-school programs), and contracts with local youth organizations (for seasonal camps)
- Manage and coordinate student/partner registration and enrollment process, including ensuring waiver completion, the check-in process, and that enrollment/events are accurately input into the scheduling system. This will include onsite, in-park classes and events; as well as mobile unit classes and events.
- Help coordinate and allocate all teaching resources for onsite and mobile programs to adequately staff while maintaining labor costs.
- Coordinate and execute our social media marketing efforts through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, google, and our websites. This includes creating and posting organic content to upload at least twice a week, posting content that corporate dictates, and posting images/videos/vignettes of special events, trade shows, promo events, field trips, mobile assemblies, etc.
- Create engaging original content to increase our social media presence and vet ideas with Operations Directors.
- Coordinate the printing and preparation of materials needed for programs, ensuring proper quantities are stocked and organized ahead of time.
- Handle all initial inquiries that come in via phone, email, or in-person and keep track of this information to share with Operations Directors per their instruction.
- Provide general administrative/office support
- Track and maintain expenses and budget requirements to submit to Operations Directors for approval.
- Ensure inventory of classroom equipment and supplies are always locked securely and is only accessible to individuals dictated by Operations Directors.
- Attend all necessary operations training sessions on the use of Snapology booking system, marketing system, CRM systems, and others as needed to successfully manage programs.
- Follow the proper chain of command for communication within the organization by gaining approval from Operations Directors before any outreach to home office or ownership.
- As an Instructor
- Lead groups of up to 20 students through curriculum-guided activities for onsite classroom and camp programs.
- Instruct and monitor student use of course materials and equipment
- Maintain inventory of all Snapology equipment
- Address student behavior in the classroom using the strategies defined by Snapology and the Operations Directors in a way that is firm but encourages a positive way to modify negative behaviors constructively.
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and apply this information to make adjustments to teaching strategies to maximize engagement and growth.
- Must have a thorough understanding of Snapology business by reading all curriculum, watching training videos, participating in face-to-face training sessions, reviewing announcements and notifications on the Snapology University site, and attending meetings with leadership as deemed appropriate.
- Encourage students and parents to enroll in future Snapology programs.
- Communicate with Urban Air management to keep them abreast of Snapology activities occurring in-house to ensure that park staff and management have a thorough understanding of what their role (if any) will be in supporting Snapology programs.
- Coordinate with Operations Directors on any problems or modifications needed to effectively execute curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Comprehensive background clearances from local, state, and federal associations that are required to work with children must be completed before the first day of employment.
- Must have a minimum of two years of experience in business management or project management and must have a general understanding of business operations.
- Experience working with children in a classroom or leadership role is preferred but not required, Applicants pursuing degrees in education, childhood psychology or degree programs that focus on working with children are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work independently to self-direct and manage time is required.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to create and disseminate written communication that is grammatically and mechanically error-free is a must.
- Experience working, living, and involvement in the Katy, TX community is highly preferred.
- Experience with creating, posting, and monitoring engagement of various social media and marketing outlets are required
- The ability to use a computer is a must, and knowledge of commonly used software programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Adobe products, or software similar to any of these is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to navigate the internet and be knowledgeable in smartphone apps for Apple and Android.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary between $38,000 and $45,000 based on skill set and experience
Two weeks paid vacation, Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year’s, and Easter paid holidays off. Additional holidays will be granted per Ownership instructions.
