SMT OPERATOR

Job Purpose:

Our Carrollton facility is looking for a machine operator skilled in automated Surface Mount Equipment (SMT) and possibly solder electronic components on printed circuit boards.

Job Duties:

• Sets up and operates a variety of automatic or semi-automatic SMT machines used in the production of the company's product
• Works from process sheets or written instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks
• Checks and inspects operation against predetermined tolerances
• Collaborates with technicians and engineers on PCB's for critical defect data
• Follows all Company Safety, ESD and ISO procedures and policies
• Responsible for reporting all accidents, near misses, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions
• Properly handles and disposes all waste, including hazardous wastes that are generated in daily operations as directed by applicable SOP(s)

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of SMT experience required
• Soldering experience preferred
• Able to read and follow process sheets and written instructions
• Able to stand for long periods
