***Seasonal Part-Time Position***

REPORTS TO: Ski Area Manager

Primary Purpose: Safely operate Ski Lift equipment as instructed.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1. Prepare ski lift loading and unloading areas

2. Operate Ski Lift in safe and efficient manner

3. Interact with customers

4. Clean and maintain equipment during season

5. Assist with other Ski Area tasks if requested by the Maintenance Supervisor.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:

1. Must be able to perform under pressure making quick decisions

2. Must attend ski lift operator and safety training

3. Must be at least 18 years of age

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Employees must be available to work weekends

2. Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather and be able to perform physically strenuous tasks

3. Must be available to work at busy times, which coincide, with seasonal holidays.

SAFETY HAZARDS:

1. Temperatures can be extremely cold, and frostbite can result without proper gloves, hats, under and outer garments, etc. Employee should always be prepared with enough weather appropriate gear that they can add or remove clothing items depending upon weather conditions.

2. Slips, trips on snow/ice.
