Silver State International has been in the same location and ownership in Sparks for over 25 years. We are the only full-service International truck and IC Bus dealership operating in Northern Nevada. We offer convenient, high-quality solutions for our customers’ transportation needs. We are currently looking to add to our dedicated and professional team of Diesel Truck Service Technicians. We’re looking for highly motivated mechanics with a valid CDL or the ability to obtain a CDL. High School Diploma or a vocational school degree is preferred.

The duties and responsibilities for this position are as follows but, are not limited to:

• Preparing work orders and communication with service advisors
• Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions
• Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks
• Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts
• Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts
• Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown
• Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance
• Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles
• Other duties as assigned

This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

Monday- Friday, 3:00 PM- 11:30 PM.
