HERFF JONES -Silk Press Machine Operator
Location: Edwardsville, KS
Hours : 1st Shift

YOUR OPPORTUNITY
The Herff Jones Operations team, based in Edwardsville, KS is looking for a Silk Screen Machine Operator to join our Bindery team.

As a member of the Yearbook Bindery Production Team, you will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment printing high school and college yearbooks to help our customers celebrate some of their greatest achievements. While you’ll lean heavily on your technical abilities, your greatest asset will be your drive and commitment to quality and safety. We live and work in a team environment and rely heavily on each other to assist across a variety of functions and on various machines.

Maintain good working relationship with lead person and fellow workers

Communicate with all employees including other shifts

Maintain clean and organized work environment

Assists in other areas as work backlogs dictate

Practice policies regarding safety and personnel/benefit issues

Assist in meeting work quota

Additional duties and tasks may be assigned

WHAT YOU'LL DO ON A DAILY BASIS:
Tends silk screen machine that prints, designs, patterns, lettering, or other images on cover, finished covers, acetate, and other material.

Operate silk screen machine at an acceptable production rate and maintain quality and safety standards at minimum spoilage.

Perform set-ups.

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining machine

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

1-3 months experience and/or training in silkscreen required

Basic computer skills

High mechanical aptitude

Multi-tasking skills

High attention to detail

Previous success maintaining a strong attendance and on time record

Ability to read and interpret documents such as tracking sheets, order confirmation sheets and work orders in English
