Hunter Hamilton has partnered with a sign manufacturing and installation company based in Phoenix. We are looking for a Sign Service Technician in the Tucson market. This is an 83 year old company that was founded on the idea that success has been dependent on the service that they provide to their customers that manufactures, maintain and installs signs, interior illuminated letters, message centers, and interior/exterior graphic packages. They maintain a complete fleet of crane trucks and service trucks with experienced crews to handle all types of sign work.

Serviceman Expectation List

Starting pay $20 - $25hr. DOE and certificates
Willing to work 8+ hours per day 5 days a week, overtime/nights/weekends as needed to complete repairs/service programs/small installs etc.
Must have a can do and problem-solving attitude, organized and detail oriented
Able to proficiently manage time
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen for zero tolerance company policy.
Clean driving record with NO DUI within the last 5 years
Able to adhere to company policies, regulations and job site protocols and safety program
Willing and able to attain CDL class B minimum (employees’ responsibility)
Able to perform pre trip vehicle inspections and fill out daily log
Willing to be on rotating schedule for on call emergency after hours repairs
Able to lift, twist, crawl, shovel, chip, climb and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Able to take and understand verbal and written directions from sales/management
Able to thoroughly read, understand and ask questions of work orders
Able to thoroughly document repairs/install. Photograph progress and completion repairs, (Smart phone applications and call-in check ins are implemented)
Able to safely operate standard power and hand tools
Able to safely work in extreme temperatures/no fear of heights
Able to work in confined areas, crawlspaces
Able to communicate professionally with onsite contacts, inspectors, etc.
Knowledge of bucket truck, crane truck, scissor lift, articulating manlift operation and setup
Must keep vehicles clean, organized and stocked
Able to work proficiently in solo and group settings
Able to communicate proficiently regarding project issues with sales and management
Knowledge of sign types, channel letters, Highrise, pylons, flex face, etc.
Knowledge and ability to diagnose outages with building electrical, breakers, contactors, timers, photocells, LED fixtures and power supplies, failed ballast, metal halide lamps and ballast, parking lot lights, etc.
Knowledge of digital price sign installation, diagnostic and service, Able systems, Skyline etc.
Knowledge and ability to perform in-depth facility surveys and ability to differentiate building construction types, wood framing, pre cast concrete, CMU block, steel framing etc.
Knowledge of neon installation, repairs and service
Able to work out of town (may be a couple days, may be weeks depending on projects)
One-week advance notice is given with the exception of emergency situations.
