Job description
To operate and maintain Tiger Transit shuttle vehicles transporting faculty, staff, students and visitors to campus. Other Duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
80% - Essential - Transport visitors, faculty, staff and students in cutaway buses.
10% - Essential - Perform maintenance checks of vehicles
5% - Essential - Maintain records of passengers transported and miles driven with paper and electronic devices.
5% - Essential - Serve as ambassador for Parking and Transportation Services in public relation initiatives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - High School or Equivalent
Licenses - Drivers License Class D normal < 26,000
Work Exp 0+ years

JOB KNOWLEDGE
Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
30% - Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period
25% - Use hands or feet to operate or handle machinery, equipment, etc
5% - Ascend or descend (i.e. stairs, ladder)
5% - Position self to accomplish task (i.e. stoop, kneel, crawl)
10% - Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself
10% - Recognize or inspect visually
5% - Extends hands or arms in any direction
WORKING CONDITIONS:
5% - Exposure to dust/fumes
5% - Noise
WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard Hrs: 28; Band: 01/ Anticipated pay range: $14.00/hr
Work schedules can include: Mon - Fri, 7:00AM - 6:00PM ;any day between 5:30 AM - 9:00 PM
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Essential Level 1 employee
Required to respond during an emergency closure or modified operations in order to provide the University's initial response to the emergency situation, including the execution of mission essential functions. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
