Job Title: Shipping Specialist

Pay Rate: $19.75hr

Monday- Friday 2nd shift 2:30pm-11pm
Monday-Friday 3rd Shift 12am-8:30am

The Shipping Specialist deals directly with carriers, the warehouse, and clients, prioritizes and assigns inbound work schedules, schedules appointments, researches and resolves discrepancies with inbound loads, and provides a high-level dependable service to the management team.

• Promotes the organizational values of Trust Team Opportunity and the operating philosophy of Safety, Customers, Operations, People, Execution (SCOPE).
• Works with customs, invoices, BOL’s, and freight forwarders
• Maintains a clean working environment.
• Demonstrates safety consciousness at all times and reports all safety questions/concerns.
• Protects the accuracy, integrity, and salability of our client's inventory entrusted to us, through the adherence to standard operating procedures and meeting physical inventory and/or cycle count accuracy expectations.
• Supports site quality management system.
• Completes all required documentation on inbound and outbound documents.
• Manages dock door usage.
• Handles all products according to customer and employer procedures.
• Communicates changes in extraordinary handling procedures to office personnel. Complete warehouse worksheet.
• Complies with all other procedures outlined in the
• Operations & Procedure Manual.
• Works with inbound operations to determine priority of inbound Receipts based on order demand, trailer needs and detention.
• Seals outbound trailers.
• Assigns inbound/outbound workloads for all shifts.
• Performs problem-solving analysis on supply chain and inventory issues
• Communicates effectively with Transportation, OFR, Management, Co-workers, and Customers.
• Presents verbal and written communications in a clear, concise manner.
• Researches and resolves discrepancies (w/inventories, orders, inbounds). Verify and reconcile inventory.
• Monitors shipment times to deliver within specified time frame.
• Manages spreadsheets and reports that are sent to management and clients on a daily/weekly basis.
• Manually lift certain product
• Moderate overtime and occasional weekend work may be required throughout the year.

Candidates should be able to speak about shipping experience

LT Temp with possibility of conversion to FTE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Warehouse Management System experience (Preferred, but not required.)
• 1 – 2 years of Customer Service experience.
• Computer, data entry and internet experience (Microsoft Office Applications, AS400)
