Shipping & Receiving/Dock Associate
Job description
Summary:
Loads and unloads shipments coming to and from the Charlotte, NC Branch
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Checks for damage and signs off on paperwork accepting or refusing a load.
Tags units with identifying information.
May be responsible for daily inventory checks for updating shop board.
Takes photos of incoming and outgoing rental equipment.
Maintains inventory.
Keeps dock area clear and clean of debris.
Ensures that delivery drivers chock their wheels before loading or unloading equipment.
Assists in locating and staging equipment for pickup.
Maintains battery cart location and condition to ensure it is readily available to load or unload electric trucks.
Key Performance Indicators:
Effort: # units loaded or unloaded / hours worked
Customer Care: # successful deliveries vs. errors
Revenue: Units loaded/unloaded
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words. Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently.
Computer Skills:
Minitrac, E-mail, Inventory, Excel, Word and Web Browser (i.e. Internet Explorer and Google Chrome)

While performing the duties of this job the associate is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The associate is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. The associate is occasionally required to up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
