Job Description

AEL-Span/Walker SCM is looking for a 2nd Shift Shipping Clerk for our operation in Louisville, Kentucky. We are looking for the right person who shares our philosophy of Operational Excellence on a daily basis. AEL-SPAN’s primary objective is to deliver the right part, to the right place, at the right time.

Summary of Position

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing and executing daily outbound shipments.

Responsibilities

• Schedule shipments and plan logistics
• Maintain files of shipments
• Assist in resolving and troubleshooting issues arising in shipping
• Ensure adherence to warehouse management system
• Report any abnormal issues within the operation to the management team
• Communicate continuous improvement suggestions to management
• Achieve customer satisfaction with an error/defect free service
• Perform duties in warehouse environment; operate equipment as needed

Required Skills

• Skilled in multitasking, organizing and prioritizing work.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Proven problem-solving skills

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED, or higher, required
• Experience with WMS, preferred
• Warehouse knowledge and experience, preferred
