Job description

One of Athens' premier and continuously growing employers is in search of shipping associates to join its busy team. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Picks product for orders when assigned and prepares customer orders for shipment.
• Packages product and labels boxes with appropriate labels.
• Keeps the supervisor informed of any discrepancies.
• Keeps work area organized and clean.
• Specifies box requirements based on order size.
• Generates air bills in both Fed Ex and UPS café systems including hazmat documents.
• Identifies, pulls, and matches the correct protocol and passage sheets for products shipping in the main shipping area and dry ice shipping area.
• Accurately labels boxes in both the main shipping and dry ice shipping in accordance with IATA regulations.
• Able to scan product and confirm orders using the RF scanning gun in the main shipping area and dry ice shipping area.
• Assists Receiving and Manufacturing departments when needed.

This is a temporary, full-time position. The schedule will include 40 hours per week, and the schedule will vary. Please note that this department does operate 7 days per week, though typically employees only work 5 days in a row, the schedule will include some weekends. When scheduled M-F, the hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sundays 4 a.m. until approximately 10 a.m. Pay is $13 per hour.

Qualifications: ​​​​

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Math, reading and comprehension skills required.
• The ability to abide by departmental and relevant QSOPs required
