Shipping and Warehouse Specialist

DigitalPath is hiring! We are hiring a Shipping and Warehouse Specialist for our Chico, CA location. DigitalPath is a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) providing residential and business internet service in Northern and Central California. We specialize in bringing high-speed wireless internet to rural or hard to reach customers. Our mission is to bring a faster, more reliable service for customers that are typically unserved or underserviced by cable companies.

The Ideal Candidate will be someone that will:

• Helps DigitalPath to meet its company growth goals.
• Pulls orders accurately in preparation for prompt shipment, verifies for accuracy prior to shipment.
• Checks shipments for conformity with specifications provided.
• Prepares outgoing shipments to include picking equipment off shelf, packaging and labeling to process for shipment.
• Responsible for accuracy of shipping documents and verifying all customer information.
• General warehouse responsibilities to include assembly of equipment, general organizing, light cleaning of the warehouse and running errands.
• This position will require the ability to do data entry.

A Successful Candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of general shipping and receiving warehouse operations.
• Strong computer skills with Office 365 and stand-alone applications such as Excel and Word.
• Highly Organized and detail-oriented.
• The capability of communicating effectively both orally and in writing.
• Proven ability to adhere to all safety standards and promote a safe working environment
• Ability to operate a forklift and manual pallet jack and use basic hand tools. Forklift experience a plus.
• Valid Driver's License with no more than 1 point
• Forklift Certification highly desirable

Physical requirements:

• This position is full time and work performed is repetitive in nature and is accomplished onsite in a warehouse.
• The work is performed in a fully enclosed warehouse that is not fully climate controlled. Fans operate in the warmer months and non-forced radiated heaters operate in the colder months.
• Work requires physical strength and agility sufficient to safely perform all essential functions.
• Requires sufficient strength and coordination for frequent lifting, pushing, pulling and/or carrying up to 55 lbs.
• This job requires regular talking, hearing, standing, using hands to finger handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms. Specific vision requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Work is performed in a warehouse that can be subject to extreme weather conditions.
• Occasionally will have to climb ladders.
• Use of manual pallet jack, dolly and hand tools is required.
• PPE required for some tasks.

Benefits and Compensation information

Pay starts at $17.00 per hour.
