DeWaard & Bode, Whatcom and Skagit counties largest, local appliance and mattress retailers is hiring! Our growing business is looking for a full-time Service Writer. If you are a positive, friendly, and personable individual who enjoys working with other people, we have an opening for you. Our Service Writer position is entry-level, and is responsible for: providing positive front-line contact over the phone with our customers, determining and meeting customer needs, keeping organized and accurate records, coordinating appointments, and resolving customer conflicts. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills a can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Compensation for this position starts at $20/hour. In this role, you'll have the opportunity for growth, and the ability to increase your compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and answer phones
• Help customers determine their service and maintenance needs
• Provide information regarding standard maintenance schedules and benefits
• Record all pertinent customer vehicle information
• Perform follow-up calls and emails
• Make, change, and cancel service appointments as necessary

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or sales (preferred)
• Prior experience in an automotive sales or repair environment
• Prior experience as a Service Writer (strongly preferred)
• Proficiency with common office and productivity software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must past background check and drug test
