Who We’re Looking For

This is a key leadership role in the HVAC industry, ideal for a seasoned professional who is passionate about building and leading a high-performing team, promoting safety, and driving business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for operational excellence, safety and training, business development, and leadership. Candidates must have strong HVAC industry experience and a proven track record of success.

Starting at $60k - $80k based on experience

Responsibility + Expectations

1. Operational Excellence

• Build, lead and maintain a strong team through training, communications, performance management, and team member development.
• Reinforce and exemplify Shipley core values daily.
• Maintain departmental key performance indicators and monitor results.
• Submit Capital Investment suggestions that demonstrate vision, leadership & fiscal responsibility
• Create and coach professional development plans for team members.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement processes to exceed customer expectations.

2. Safety & Training:

• Promote safe & incident-free operations through effective communications and training.
• Ensure technicians receive relevant ongoing training to continuously improve their skill set and stay abreast of current HVAC technology.
• Able to motivate performance in safety, learning, teamwork, growth, and fun.
• Be sure Technicians have all safety equipment available to them and know how to use them.

3. Business Development

• Coach and instill a growth mindset with all team members.
• Encourage the use of additional discovery to increase add-on sales.
• Build loyalty with customers in all interactions and cross sell other product lines

4. Internal Meetings and Committee Memberships

• Monthly Team Unity Meetings
• Special Events Attendance & Support
• Use site visits to coach and develop technicians.

5. External Industry and Community Leadership

• Attendance at industry conferences
• Membership and participation in a peer group
• Join local Service Managers organization

Requirements

• 5 plus years HVAC Management Experience
• Valid drivers license, access to a motor vehicle, and capacity to travel.
• Able to lead and develop 5+ direct Management reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
