Fox Rent-A-Car (a division of Europcar Mobility Group) is a benchmark for low-cost leisure car rental in the United States and worldwide. Our US market is growing rapidly, and significant expansion is underway for 2022-2024.
We seek an experienced Service Desk Administrator (level 3) in our Los Angeles, CA, or Tulsa, OK, offices. Under the general supervision of the Service Desk Manager, the Service Desk Administrator will provide software, hardware, and network problem resolution as well as installation and configuration support for all system users by performing problem diagnosis and guiding end-users through step-by-step solutions. They will need to communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner clearly; provide one-on-one end-user training as required, and work with system engineers for more complex problems. In addition, they will need to work directly with and coordinate activities between various IT teams, including Network, DevOps, and Security.
They must be able to support Windows, Linux, and Macintosh systems with proficiency. In addition, they should be familiar with maintaining Windows & Linux servers in an AWS environment, including patching, maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting. They should also be capable of implementing automation to enhance business operations and productivity.
You will:
- Resolve or provide information on escalated tickets from level 1 and 2 technicians.
- Identify, diagnose and resolve issues reported to the Service Desk through the Service Desk Portal, phone, email, or other channels.
- Respond to requests for technical assistance and provide one-on-one problem resolution promptly and professionally.
- Develop and demonstrate an understanding of customer and business needs within the Fox infrastructure.
- Perform system administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, researching event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring to ensure system architecture components work together seamlessly.
- Maintained essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, mobile devices, software, and hardware.
- Establish & implement minimum security baselines for workstations, servers, and mobile devices
- Mobile Device Management (MDM) includes setting & updating policies.
- Own projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within more significant business initiatives.
- Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including backups and patches.
- Develop and enhance interdepartmental relationships and communications by proactively communicating with all customers and setting appropriate expectations to ensure customer satisfaction at the highest levels.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry technologies and continually strive to improve understanding of internal operations.
- Assist team members in ensuring all tickets are responded to within set Service Level Agreements.
- In-depth Windows and Linux server experience
- Ability to troubleshoot high-level issues promptly
- Experience working with and troubleshooting issues on Mac computers
- In-depth active directory experience
Minimum Qualifications:
- Five years minimum experience supporting the above technologies.
- Or three years of relevant experience with applicable certifications and/or degrees (A+, Network+, MCSE, Linux+, Security+, CS, MIS, IT)
- Experience with IT ticketing systems
- Remote desktop support
- Experience setting up and maintaining automation
- Ability to handle any escalated ticket
- Applicants must be willing to work any day of the year as needed, including weekends (excluding company holidays).
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Professional certifications (A+, Network+, MCSE, Linux+, Security+)
- Scripting languages such as Powershell, Python, & Bash
- Maintaining and creating Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- Google Workspace administration
- AWS
Education Requirements:
- Higher education degree in IT, CS, MIS, Networking, Cyber Security, or related field
