The Children's Center, a non-profit agency, is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of young children, one family at a time. Our mission is to nurture and educate children and their families. We provide opportunities for education, parenting support and resources to families in our communities.
- Receives and processes referrals; contacts parents/guardians to discuss needs and services and to provide information
- Participates in the determination of eligibility
- Participates in the development of Individual Family Service Plans
- Participates in transition planning
- Ensures compliance with confidentiality requirements
- Refers clients to appropriate service providers
- Attends required training
- Completes progress notes, charts and required reports
- Investigates and resolves problems related to services provided to families

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:
- Knowledge of Early Intervention Program policies and procedures
- Knowledge of disabilities services principles
- Knowledge of needs assessment strategies
- Knowledge of infant and toddler development
- Knowledge of agency policies and procedures
- Skill in the operation of computers and job related software programs
- Skill in decision making and problem solving
- Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public
- Skill in oral and written communication
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the Human Services or Social Work field
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having ha a similar position for one to two years
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment used.
- Candidate who does not meet all qualification for SR SC would have their hourly compensation adjusted.
- Position can be consider for all Children's Center location.
