Who we are
The Diner in Vancouver is part of Meals on Wheels People and is the first of its kind and offers seniors a place for intergenerational social interaction, support and meals at no cost. The Diner’s mission is to create a sense of community through food and proudly serves a classic diner menu with a healthy, local twist. Meals on Wheels People, a non-profit, enriches the lives of seniors and assists them in maintaining independence by providing nutritious food, human connections and social support.
We are searching for a server to join our team at The Diner in Vancouver. This unique position will ensure that guests have an enjoyable experience by providing excellent service and maintaining high quality standards. Full benefits and possible compensation of an additional $7.00 per hour for weekend hours. We are looking for skilled individuals who are dependable, team players.
Must haves
- Minimum one-year relevant server experience preferred but not required
- Passion for food, strong work ethic and desire to grow
- Current Food Handler’s card or ability to obtain one upon hire
- Proven customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform during peak business hours
- Passion for serving seniors in our community
