About the Role

We are looking for an experienced UX Designer who is passionate about user experiences and can contribute in a diversity of projects and team setups for automotive and mobility clients. As a UX Designer you will help design teams with research, developing information architecture, creating impactful experience concepts, and designing layouts and interactions. As Senior UX Designer you will be contributing to one of icon’s core competencies: envisioning, designing and building the next generation of impactful digital product and service experiences. With your knowledge and expertise, you will serve as a driving creative force internally and externally, making decisive contribution to icon impact’s future orientation, helping us grow and pioneer new solutions and offerings for our clients.

You will be expected to evaluate solutions holistically, identify and remove obstacles, and help drive innovation. You have a clear understanding of the intersection between visual and motion design and can contribute valuable ideas as we move from exploration to production. As our work is interdisciplinary and always evolving, a UX Designer is expected to stay up to date with the latest software skills, methodologies, and trends within the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to our holistic innovation design practice for icon impact USA
• Provide leadership for all our clients with highest quality user experience recommendations and executions, from ideation to final delivery
• Be comfortable and enjoy trying out new tools, methods and approaches… enjoy thinking about What if!?
• Act as a true senior leader on the creative team; bring a strong UX focus, but a generalist design mindset
• Work with an interdisciplinary team for project success from kickoff to completion
• Promote design efforts, mindset, and methods
• Rapidly ideate and produce multiple UX concepts and take a project through the entire design process from concept to delivery.
• Develop and articulate the methods and approaches for framing and solving design problems.
• Create high level concept-documents and idea-visualizations for products, services, and ecosystems
• Explore, design, and specify navigation and interactions (flows, high level and detailed)
• Ensure that products have a cohesive and seamless flow so that the user can intuitively navigate the whole experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in design or related field from an accredited university
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in product design or UX; experience with automotive UX design is highly preferred
• Experience working in an agency setting is required
• Hands-on, get things done attitude; no job is too big or too small
• Ability to provide big vision thinking while keeping an eye on the details
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe CS Suite, Omnigraffle and Keynote
• Solid knowledge of prototyping tools, usability testing and user research techniques
• A diverse portfolio that showcases:
• Experience in defining user experiences for a variety of platforms, products and applications
• Demonstrated understanding of usability principles
• Strong visual design skills
• Understanding of information architecture.
