Senior Tax Associate - $75K-$95K plus benefits

Our client in Cedar Rapids is looking for an experienced Tax Associate in the Public Accounting Sector. The Senior Associate will work closely with the Management and Partner team as well as their local office team members. The Senior Associate will be responsible for assisting with client projects, working with a team on tax/accounting projects, and assisting with workflow on office projects with the staff.

Below is an overview of this opportunity:

Responsibilities:

• Primary/lead on client relationships as assigned.
• Assist with workflow on office projects with the staff.
• Train and develop other staff.
• Prepare and review all types of tax returns (i.e. 1040, 1120, 1065, etc.) efficiently and effectively
• Develop and maintain client relationship through a comprehensive knowledge of tax planning including estate planning
• Prepare and review all accounting activities provided for a client (i.e. bookkeeping, year-end closings, etc.)
• Ability to assist in the development and implementation of an attestation engagement for a client
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• 2 to 10 years’ experience in Public Accounting sector
• Passionate individual with a service mentality and the ability to see the big picture
• Thinks differently than traditional accounting – driven by an advisory approach
• CPA certification preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

License/Certification:
