Job Description Summary :
Senior Talent Affairs Manager position requires experience in broadcast business affairs and talent payments, a solid understanding of the SAG-AFTRA Commercial and Co-Ed agreements as well as AFM, ACTRA and UDA. Also familiar with labor laws that impact the advertising industry.
Excellent verbal and writing skills required for interacting daily with producers, account teams, agents, and performers. Roll your sleeves up and calm under pressure personality. Ability to adapt to changing landscapes in the industry and mentor agency employees.
Job Description :
Responsibilities:
Manage talent related business matters including talent estimating, payment processing and actualizing based on a thorough understanding of SAG/AFTRA/AFM commercials codes, both general market and Spanish Language provisions.
Detailed responsibilities include:
- Manage all aspects of talent residuals for multiple clients: administer talent residual payments, prepare residual talent estimates, monitor and actualize budgets
- Correspond with producer and Business Manager on talent contracts and completion reports
- Review boards and provide input to Business Managers, producers and account teams, for union (SAG-AFTRA) productions
- Responsible for meeting union deadlines
- Administer pension payments for large over-scale guarantees
- Manage non-union talent renewals, talent renegotiations and reinstatement of commercials
- Resolve SAG-AFTRA and labor claims
- Remain current on SAG-AFTRA and talent employment protocol
- Manage SAG-AFTRA audits
