• *Position Overview

Infinity Systems Engineering is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator who can work independently or in a team setting to achieve goals and objectives in a fast-paced mission focused environment while mentoring junior members of the SA team.
Occasional off-shift and weekend support may be required to meet program milestones.

Primary Responsibilities

Perform system backups and restores for disaster recovery, hardware and software monitoring, and system, software, and user account maintenance, ensuring smooth operation of multiple development and test environments. Duties include setting up virtual machines and windows servers, managing user accounts, applying operating system patches and COTS updates, installing mission software, allocating mass storage space, maintaining system documentation, and tuning system performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience installing and configuring VMware clusters and Windows Server

• Experience with Windows Active Directory/Group Policy/DNS

• Experience with Linux (preferably Red Hat) operating system and shell scripting

• Functional knowledge of layer 2/3 networking concepts and web server services (IIS, Apache, Nginx, Tomcat)

• Functional knowledge of databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with YAML, Ruby, XML

• Familiarity with application container concepts found within Docker and Podman

• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and Puppet

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with 14 years of professional experience or Master's degree with 12 years of professional experience

Clearance Requirement

Secret security clearance is required, Top Secret is preferred
