This position is fully remote. All applicants must live and work in the United States.

TAG is seeking a passionate and talented Senior Shopify Developer to support our e-commerce team and help us deliver outstanding digital experiences to our clients. In this role, you'll plan and lead discovery processes for new E-commerce build outs and confidently provide solutions and recommendations while ensuring project implementation compliance.

We're looking for someone who's a seasoned Shopify Developer that doesn't mind talking to people. This is a fast-paced environment where several projects are in play at once. What you'll do:

  • Plan and lead discovery processes for new Shopify build outs and run site audits for existing stores
  • Speak with clients to understand business requirements and translate those into design and technical requirements
  • Incorporate best practices to design effective strategies for feature development
  • Collaborate with internal teams for implementation recommendations
  • Wholly own all technical content (architecture and design), integrity, and quality of the solutions for all aspects of Shopify websites
  • Address compliance requirements in collaboration with IT and Legal, including but not limited to Payment Card Industry (PCI), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Personally Identifiable Information (PII), California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA)
  • Provide technical leadership, direction and mentorship to other technology team members

You might be who we're looking for if you have:

  • 6-8 years' overall development experience
  • 3-5 years' experience in an eCommerce development role with a digital agency environment
  • 2-4 years' experience with Shopify, including a deep understanding of the Shopify platform as well as the Shopify app ecosystem, Shopify themes, Shopify APIs, and Liquid template language
  • 2-3+ years' experience with:
    • Agile methodology and working closely with project managers to plan sprints, flesh out tickets and organize releases
    • Working with clients to turn business requirements into technical specifications
    • Laying out technical documentation both for internal developer team and client handoff
    • Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes.
    • Code reviews, continuous integration, and test driven development
  • High level knowledge of Git and code workflows in Shopify
  • Knowledge of Shopify best practices and of industry trends
  • Successful history in building relationships with clients and in practice development activities
  • Experience with modern JS frameworks is a major plus
  • Experience with Headless architecture is a plus
