Position Overview
This position will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and sourcing strategies to attract a highly qualified diverse pool of talent to support The University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. As a collaborative partner, this position will consult with hiring managers to understand business needs, build effective candidate pipelines to meet those needs, and facilitate the selection process for a variety of positions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Seven years of progressive corporate and/or higher education experience with a focus on executive candidate generation.
  • Five plus years of advising and influencing senior executives.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws relating to the recruitment and employment functional areas of Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems to source, track and manage postings and applicants. Skill in using office computer information systems to organize, store, manipulate, and retrieve data.
  • Highly effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple assignments and competing priorities.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and trust with clients, peers and candidates. Focused on providing a high level of customer service and follow through.
  • Strong ability in high-judgement decision making and experience working with confidential information.
  • Strong client focus and commitment to continuous improvement; ability to proactively network and establish effective working relationships, must pursue conscious cost-containment efforts in recruiting, continually seek new sourcing options, and develop creative approaches to delivering candidates to the customer.
  • Skill in defining and executing recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management.
  • Strong consulting skills and demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, as a team leader and member.
  • Strong analytic skills with ability to create, measure, and scale the right workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and our recruiting team.


Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:
  • Experience with high volume recruiting.
  • Experience at an institution of higher education.
  • PHR/SPHR certification.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish.

Work Schedule
Hybrid on-site and remote, Monday through Friday. You will meet on-site with key leaders at critical intervals as needed.

Job Duties

o
Review, pre-screen and interview candidates to determine appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.

o
Full life-cycle recruitment of positions across a diverse range of functions. Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the full recruiting cycle (i.e. communicate status, answer questions and coordinate all follow-up efforts).

o
Provide market research and sourcing efforts to support candidate and geographic profiling to guide recruiting across HSC.

o
Ensure consistent communication regarding recruitment efforts by providing status updates.

o
Partner closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to develop, communicate and execute recruiting plans and strategies. Develop trusting, long-term partnerships with all hiring managers.

o
Monitor the effectiveness of all sourcing and recruiting efforts, with specific attention paid to continued flow of candidates for current and future positions.

o
Act as a mentor and lead by example for the Talent Acquisition team.

o
Identifies, develops, and implements effective and efficient recruiting initiatives, including leadership roles, and is a strategic partner to the campus in development of recruiting plans, sourcing strategies and social media campaigns.

Assist with posting and monitoring of openings on external job websites. Attending recruitment/job fairs for the recruitment of candidates.
